Job Description and Responsibilities: Assistant Superintendent in Training

This position involves learning to effectively manage physical assets and the people in them, with the goal of becoming a plant superintendent. This includes:

∙           Facilities and Equipment

o Operation and effective maintenance of the plant and machinery

o Facilitate product shipment and delivery

∙           Grain Inventory Management 

o Grain grading, conditioning and monitoring.

o Blending to meet customer needs and maximize profitability

∙           People

                        o Develop and implement plant safety controls

                        o Crew development and training

∙            Develop a working knowledge of the relationship between operations and merchandising. Ability to work, and communicate effectively, with internal and external customers with different perspectives. 

∙           A successful candidate must be willing and able to relocate to different parts of the country in order to continue their training and career. 

Position Requirements: Assistant Superintendent in Training

∙           Bachelor degree in Agriculture, Operations, or Manufacturing related field.

∙           Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.

∙           Positive and self motivated individual.

∙           Willing to work in a plant environment.

∙           Must be willing to relocate.

∙           This is a salaried position with benefits.

∙           Successful completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.

Job Description: Entry-Level Grain Merchandiser

The grain merchandising position involves managing strategic customer and supplier relationships, maintaining competitive advantages, and facilitating product shipment and delivery through strong sales and communication skills.

Position Responsibilities:

∙           Proactive development and coverage of existing sales and supplier accounts and development of prospective accounts

∙           Obtaining market knowledge and insight through continuous communication with product suppliers, customers, and transportation vendors

∙           Implementation of hedging and other risk management methods and techniques applied to trading positions based on profitability, market trends, and account history

∙           Facilitating and scheduling logistics for timely product delivery using barge, rail, and truck transportation modes

∙           Obtain and develop merchandising skills to provide a base for future management opportunities within the DeBruce Companies

Position Requirements:

∙           Bachelors degree

∙           Organization, communication, and negotiation skills

∙           Positive, self motivated

∙           Applicants need to be willing to relocate to the Midwest
