Located in Central Kansas, Abilene originates both farmer and elevator owned grain throughout Kansas and South Central Nebraska. The Abilene facilities have licensed capacity of 7.8 million bushels. Purchased in 1981, many renovations have been completed to increase storage, handling efficiency and load out capabilities. Grain is received by truck and rail, then efficiently loaded onto (100 and 110 car) unit trains for shipment on the Union Pacific or Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroads or by truck to end users. These facilities service flour mills, processors, poultry users and ships unit trains to the Gulf, Pacific Northwest, and export to Mexico.

Abilene is complimented by our cross country merchandising program, where products such as rock and salt are trucked from the area with a back-haul of grain.
